JAISALMER: The government of India has declared LaQshya Award for newborn and maternal health services where district Jawahar Hospital has stood in Jodhpur branch. The award includes a certificate together with Rs 3 lakh in cash. Jaisalmer collector Ashish Modi stated that the district management, health department and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) made attempts to enhance the standard of delivery services in Jawahar Hospital which has brought benefits. The committees of central and state authorities decided that the hospital labor area fulfills all the required parameters. Empanelled extenal assessors researched the facilities and found them to be around the mark. He added that this award is now an issue of pride to its desert district. The project manager (maternal health) Dr Tarun Chodhary along with his staff scrutinized the hospital labour area and gave important hints to offer it a version shape. Modi stated that the award money will be utilised in expanding the resources and services of the labor space and quality will be improved further. This may benefit the individuals of Jaisalmer district since they will acquire ultramodern facilities and services, while maternal wellbeing services will receive aid.
