Biharsharif: Minister of Nitish Kumar’s head on Saturday announced the construction of Ayurveda College opposite the Nalanda University Building which was being built in Rajgir.
He said the classes at the proposed Ayurveda College will begin within 18 months.
He also announced the resurrection of Ayurveda and Ayus who were closed and ayush in the state, including those in Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.
He said RS838 Crore will be spent on projects.
CM made an announcement while speaking at the Prime Ayurveda Parv Three Day event at the Rajgir International Convention Center (ICC).
This festival has been held jointly by the State Ayurveda Council and State Ayush Committee, Patna.
Such conferences are being held in four states at the Ayush Union Department initiative.
When speaking around 1,400 Ayurveda scholars from all over the country, Nitish said the hills and forests in Rajgir were full of herbs, including Kalmegh, Gundmar, Sanjivini, among others, used in Ayurvedic drugs for a long time.
He thanked the organizers to choose Rajgir for the event.
CM said the state government had tried hard to develop naturopathy in Bihar.
He said Mahatma Gandhi too, had advocated its use.
He said the state government had wanted to develop Ayurveda and Homeopathy in Bihar.
Nitish said the state government would provide 10 acre land for the new construction of Tibbi College and so moved there, this building will be provided for the use of Ayurvedic and Homeopathic research works.
The minister’s chairman also talks about the importance of historical Venu van and new places to develop in Rajgir, including natural safaris, glass bridges, future zoo safari, among others and ask participants to visit their places in Rajgir.
