Rajkot: At an odd episode, some unknown miscreants stole ayurvedic medications awarded to Covid-19 patients in the Government Ayurveda Hospital at Jamnagar and pitched it in the sewer pit supporting the storeroom.
Jamnagar authorities said the incident happened at the ayurveda hospital situated in Meghpar village at Jodiya taluka of Jamnagar at some given time between May 29 and May 31.
The episode came to light on Thursday after that the hospital direction lodged a police complaint.
According to a complaint filed by Dr Amisha Patel (31) of this ayurveda hospital, a few unidentified individuals stole the ayurvedic medications contributed to Covid-19, from the authorities AYUSH ministry, value Rs 25,993.
The miscreants entered the storeroom from dividing up the iron grill of this restroom.
They stole the ayurveda drugs and then chucked it into a sewer pit supporting the storeroom.
Police suspect the use of a insiders.
“We’re probing all questioning and angles all hospital employees,” said a police officer.
