Chandigarh: During the first wave, Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College & Hospital Chandigarh, has provided Ayurvedic (Ayush 64) therapy to those who have a covid-19 infection that is light to medium.
Clinical experiments carried out and now in the Prefrint version recently concluded that the therapy worked as additional therapy and managed to change 81% negative RPCR after a week.
The drug reduces the level of the inflammatory marker which has increased during infection.

In a randomized control test labeled open at Ayurvedic College in the city, 74 patients were allocated ayush 64 Add on (along with standard care of vitamin C, azithromycin, paracetamol and cetrizine), while the other half, the control group, is under care standard.
Those who are under Ayush 64 Add On have a significant increase in HRCT’s chest and reduction marked in the D dimer level – the inflammatory marker.
The patients in this study were between 18 and 75 years old.
Two Ayush 64 tablets are given three times a day for a month together with treatment standards.
It was found that after two weeks, 62.2% of them on Ayush 64 Add On has recovered, while 13.5% of those who use standard treated negative treatment for Covid-19.
“We have used such therapies and scientifically set results in Covid-19,” said Dr.
Naresh Mittal, Secretary General of the College Management Committee.
This study stipulates that Ayurvedic therapy is additional for safe standard therapy and accelerates clinical recovery from Covid-19 in patients with minor to moderate infection.

Ayush 64 is a patent polyherbal formulation developed by the central council for research in Ayurvedic science, the Ayush Ministry.
