Mumbai: The control board for cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday formed a ‘working group’ for domestic cricket which included former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin, Rohan Jaitley, Avishek Dalmiya and Jaydev Shah.
Other panel members are Yudhvir Singh (Central Zone), Devajib Saikia (Northeast Zone) and Santosh Menon (South Zone).
They will work together with President BCCI SOURAT GANGULY, Vice President of Rajiv Shukla, Secretary of Jay Shah and Treasurer of Arun Dhumal.
On June 20, the APEX BCCI board has decided that the 10 member committee will be formed to look into the compensation package for the domestic season and other aspects of domestic cricket.
Azharuddin is the President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), while Jaitley heads Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
Shah, former captain Saurashtra, is the Head of Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA), while Dalmiya is the President of the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB).
Santosh Menon is the Head of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
After being forced to do the domestic season which was limited this year because of a pandemic, BCCI has announced that he plans to do the full season today, with more than 2000 matches it should happen.
