KABUL: Former Azizullah Fazli’s head on Sunday was named Acting Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), the first new promise was at the government agency since the expropriation of the Taliban nation grateful.
Fazli previously served as ACB chairman from September 2018 to July 2019.
“The former Chairman of ACB @azizullahfazli has been appointed again as Chair of ACB acting.
He will supervise ACB leadership and action for the upcoming competition,” ACB tweeted.
Speaking to PTI, ACB CEO Hamid Shinwari said earlier this week that he estimated cricket activities to go as usual because the Taliban supported the game.
It still has to be seen how Fazli and CO handle logistics for Afghan international duties against Pakistan in Sri Lanka, with commercial flights suspended at Kabul Airport.
