NEW DELHI: South Delhi eatery’Baba ka Dhaba’ proprietor Kanta Prasad’s condition remains critical, Safdarjung Hospital sources said on Saturdaytwo weeks after he allegedly tried suicide.
He’s about ventilator and his condition is still critical but stable, hospital sources said.
Prasad, 81, tried suicide on Thursday.
The main reason for his intense measure isn’t yet understood, authorities said.

“On Thursday at 11.15 pm, the data was obtained by the Safdarjung Hospital which Prasad was declared there.
Police contacted the hospital also gathered that the MLC (medico-legal instance ), that says the consumption of alcohol and sleeping pills since the reason behind unconsciousness,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (south west ) Atul Kumar Thakur’d stated.
The announcement of Prasad’s boy Karan has been listed.
He said his dad consumed alcohol using sleeping pills, so the authorities explained, adding that additional inquiry is already underway.
Talking to colleagues, Prasad’s wife had stated she had”no idea” about what her husband swallowed.
“I’m clueless about what occurred to him.
I had been in the dhaba.
He fainted and then we chose him into the hospital about 4 pm (on Thursday).
Nobody has told me anything about his illness,” she’d said.
Prasad shot into the limelight last year after a movie of him tearfully speaking about the shortage of consumers in his eatery along with his fiscal worries went viral, triggering an outpouring of aid in kind and cash from all around the nation.
The movie was taken and uploaded by YouTuber Gaurav Wasan.
Afterwards, the octogenarian registered a complaint from Wasan for alleged misappropriation of funds raised by contributions.
Prasad went to start a restaurant.
But he confronted losses and needed to close it.
Lately, Prasad returned into his dhaba and also apologised into Wasan.
The YouTuber seen Prasad and accepted his apology.
