Babar Pakistan hopes to bring momentum to the virus hit wi

KARACHI: Captain Babar Azam hopes to maintain the momentum of Pakistani’s victory against the West Indies which is hit by a virus in the excess overs series, starting Monday.
Three West Indies players – Bowler Fast Bowler left Sheldon Cottrell, Allrounders Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers – have been tested positive Coronavirus in Karachi and ruled out of the twenty -20 series.
They will be isolated for 10 days in Karachi and will be monitored by the team doctor until they return a negative test.
Twenty20 Hindent20 West Squad has missed several top players for the Twenty20 three matches that will be attended by three ODIS – also in Karachi.
The famous absence includes the White Ball captain Kieron Pollard, who will miss a hamstring injury which was supported during the T20 World Cup, while Andre Russell played at Big Bash League in Australia.
“We will try to bring the momentum starting at the World Cup (T20),” said Babar to reporters during video conferencing on Sunday.
“We will not take them (West Indies) easy because they do not bring their best players.

Many negative things come in your mind when you are alone in the room and the team’s combination is also affected.” Pakistan has lost only one house twenty series since Cricket International returned to Pakistan in 2015 when Sri Lanka directed them 3-0 in 2019.
They had twice defeated Zimbabwe and also recorded a winning series against Bangladesh, South Africa, Xi World and Indies The West when they took a tour in 2018.
The Pakistani government has allowed a full capacity crowd at the National Stadium for the first time since the Pandemic began and Babar hoped that the home team fans would be able to see some quality crickets.
“The main thing is that we play a home series and for us the best is a full crowd will be permitted inside the stadium.”
