New Delhi: The baby died during hospital treatment at Bakhirtawarpur in Outer Delhi, with his family accusing negligence on the part of the doctor, police said on Thursday.
The boy was born in the same hospital on October 28 last year, they said.
On Wednesday at 10:43 a.m., the PCR call was received in connection with the death of a child during treatment at Chikitsha Kendra Paramjeet, Bakhtawrpur, police said.
According to the police, to reach a hospital, a complainant, Ankit, alleged that his wife delivered children in the same medical facility.
The baby was hospitalized on January 12 for cold care and vomiting but he died during treatment.
The Father and relatives then took the baby to a private hospital and they suggested for a higher center and then the child was taken to the SRHC hospital in Narella, they said.
The Father and relatives of the deceased claimed negligence in the doctor and was willing to take further legal action, said a senior police officer.
“The body has been pit by the police and is preserved at the Jahangirpuri BJRM Hospital for further processing.
During the investigation, care papers and types of diseases in which babies are under treatment are collected from the hospital,” The word officer said.
A medical board has also been recommended to ascertain whether there is negligence in part of the doctor in the hospital suspected, police said.
