Raipur: Bringing his three-year-old son, the wife of a government sub-engineer who was kidnapped to go to a dense forest in the Bijapur District of the Bastar division to beg from Maois to release him.
Arpita managed to persuade Maois to release Ajay Roshan Lakra, 35, on Wednesday after he was taken on for six days.
Baster’s social journalists and organizations have also approached Maois to release Acha.
Sub-engineer and Peon Lakshman Partagiri, 24, was kidnapped on November 11 from the work site YOJNA Pradhan Mantri Gram YOJNA.
Partagiri was released after two days but the Lakra continued to be held hostage.
Bijapur police said Ajay was released on Wednesday after Arpita, who had taken her son to a dense forest, asked Maois to release him.
According to Bastar’s journalist, when Maois learned that he was not a road contractor but an engineer, they decided to let him go.
Ajay was taken ahead of ‘People’s Court’ in a village in the Interior of Bijapur.
He was then blindfolded and taken to the meeting place in the forest where the villagers drove him to the Gangloor Road.
When he saw her husband, Arpita broke down and the emotional reunion moved villagers and journalists who had accompanied them.
Arpita could not stop thanking people to intervene in his name.
According to the police, Maois took the litra for the road contractor and kidnapped him.
When Arpita reached the forest, along with a group of activists, journalists, and villagers, looking for Laka, Maois released him.
