CHENNAI: As the pandemic frighten locked down the city and pushed individuals behind closed doors, most believed it could result in your baby boom.
However, Chennai, as standard, has upended hopes to document its biggest recession in births — almost 42 percent fall in April 2021 in comparison to the identical period this past year.
Even the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), according to its site, issued 4,094 birth certificates in April 2021.
