Within 20 hours of the baby abandoned by a man in Swaminarayan Gaushala at Pethapur near Gandhinagar at 9:20 p.m.
on Friday, the state police, who launched a massive hunt for the parents of the baby, claimed to have identified the person who left it – Sachin Nandkishore Dixit has escaped to the city in Rajasthan.
Dixit, allegedly becoming the father of the child, was being brought back to Gandhinagar.
The mystery over why babies, identified on Saturday night as Amit * between 8 and 10 months, was left not completely decomposed.
Overcoming media at night, Harsh Sanghvi, MOS (home), said that Amit * was not a child from Shyam’s wife.
Sources close to developments say that toddlers can become children of love, but more details can be ensured after Dixit was questioned.
“The reason behind his desires will break down so Dixit is interrogated,” said a senior police officer.
According to the Gandhinagar police, the child was left at the Gaushala gate by someone who came in a hatchback car.
The locals saw it, after Deepti Patel, a local council member, told the police and then took the child to Gandhinagar civil hospital for medical examinations.
The incident became a sensation when photographs and visual babies splailed across the media throughout the day.
The fourteen Gandhinagar police team was formed to find a baby family.
The police also checked CCTV recordings from the nearest area, employing technical surveillance and door-to door surveys to establish children’s identity.
“The team works all the time for more than 20 hours to solve this case.
The first clue was found with the identification of the car used in the incident,” said Sanghvi, added that he lived in Gandhinagar with his parents, his wife and children.
Sanghavi added that the question to the neighbors confirmed that Shivansh, the child was not from Dixit’s wife.
The minister said his office got around 190 calls to adopt the child.
“Some police officers involved in this case also received requests from their families to raise children if parents could not.
I thank Lakh who prayed for him and helped find his family,” Mos said.
