New Delhi: Delhi Constable police came as a Savior for a 53-year-old worker who had forgotten a bag containing RS 1 lakh cash on the platform at the Shivaji Bridge Railway Station here and went on the train above.

Constable Narender found a tote bag on the bench.
“When checking, I found cash along with aadhar and ration cards,” he said.
“I immediately told my seniors about it and tried to contact Vijay Kumar but when I couldn’t pass it, I decided to wait until someone came to ask,” he said.
A few hours later, at around 6:30 a.m., Vijay returned to the Shivaji Bridge Station to find money and securely handed the tote bag and Rs 1 lakh by the police after the formalities.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railroad) Harendra Kumar Singh said, “Vijay Kumar left the carry bag at the station.
Our police narender found the bag was not claimed and returned the items to Kumar along with cash at Rs 1 Lakh.” Remembering that day, Vijay Saying it was very hot and he sat on a bench on the platform waiting for the train arrived.
When the train arrived, he loaded the items of rations and took the train in a hurry to leave “Thaila” (carrying a bag) on the bench.
“When I got off at Anand Vihar Station, I felt thirsty and that’s when I realized that I was wrong to put Thaila me.
I panicked and cried because I had cash 1 lakh in it.
This money is very important to me.
I have saved it To build a small house for my children, “he said.
“I’m a poor person.
For workers like me, Rs 1 Lakh is a very large amount.
Nobody helped me when I asked for some of them at Anand Vihar station to keep my ration for a few hours until I returned so I could find my money .
I lost all hope but Narender Babu was a savior.
He handed over my belongings and also made me take the next train safely, “said Vijay who was relieved.
