Hubballi: Sub-prison Hubballi has a new activity for 120 inmates — Yoga lessons from the world record holder Arjun Yogi.
Arjun, who runs a yoga school in Vietnam but comes from Badami in Karnataka, comes to meet his family when he decides to start teaching yoga to prison prisoners to improve their physical and mental health.
Arjun teaches yoga for three days in sub-prison and wants to start a yoga class in all prisons in Karnataka, before leaving for Vietnam in February.
He has set a world record in 2016 to do the most number of solar namaskar.
He finished 7,777 rounds in 60 hours, six minutes and six seconds.
Arjun said he decided to do a yoga training camp for a colleague jail and approached the prison authority in Hubballi.

“Yoga is the best medicine to increase the mindset of people, especially to bring change in a lifestyle with thinking,” he said.
“The inmates have been taught 15 basic scenes, five of each lie down, sit and stand,” Arjun said.
The inmates have shown interest and “asked for more time.
I want to train more traces of the jail, if the government gives permission to conduct training in prison throughout the country,” Arjun said.
