Back to school from November 1 for elementary school students in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: After more than one and a half years, the physical class for students from grade 1 to 8 will continue at school with the effect of November 1, the Tamil Nadu government said on Tuesday.
After the meeting chaired by Minister M K Stalin in the Secretariat to review the ongoing steps to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, the government said the ban in connection with the social, political, cultural and religious church would continue to be in place.
Places of worship will continue to be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, official release said.
In a relaxation, the government said the meeting in the Collectorate District, every Monday, to overcome public complaints will be permitted and every month, a similar meeting to overcome complaints of farmers must be carried out.

Consider feedback from medical experts, education and parents, physical classes for children in all schools (running the government, assisted by the state and other councils too) will continue from November 1, the government said.
Classes will be held by following standard operating procedures to prevent the spread of viruses.
Stakeholders have argued that students faced stress and gap in learning because they were limited to their homes since last year, following the emergence of pandemics, the government said.
Grade 9-12 students again attended the physical class in schools from September 1.
The government, pointing to the upcoming festival season, appeal to people to avoid visiting places that can watch crowding.
Following the Covid-19 guidelines can help prevent the third wave of viruses, the government said and appealed to people and commercial companies also to work together.
