PANAJI: Former Chair of the Goa State Commission for Protection of Rights and Children, Dr.
Sushma Kirtani said it was time for children to return to schools for their future interests and their physical and mental well-being.
“Psychosocial development only occurs when a child goes to school and interacts with other children and gets the attention needed from the teacher.
Children need their difficulties cleaned by the teacher,” he said.
Besides being left behind in the study, students lose discipline to build early and learn and eat on time.
They wake up late and watch the pre-record sessions uploaded by school anytime and difficulty learning on a small screen with some parents find it difficult to buy data packages for them.
“They lost their education.
Schools must begin as soon as possible.
At first they can start in staggering, several times a week.
They can close when there are problems.
Parents travel everywhere with children – marriage, function, function Shopping and even vacation, “he said.
Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, North Goa, Esther Torres said it was important for children to return to school for their mental health.
“Parents also work and cannot monitor their children.
They want them to return to school,” he said.
After school began, citizens must have a positive approach to not matigatize those who test positively or label the educational institution because this will cause negative publicity, Torres said.
Because Covid-19 infection fell and many children recovered well when their families were infected with Covid-19, they were in demand that they returned to school, said Kirtani.
In addition to academics, Covid has influenced the development and socialization of children’s language and socialization, Director of Health Services Dr.
Ira Almeida said.
“Children can pursue their studies, but socialization is difficult to catch up.
Their interactions are limited and they do not miss to share, care, how to resolve fighting, problem solving and conflict resolution.
The younger children are more affected,” he said.
“The five-year-old child has spent a quarter of their lives during a pandemic without socialization.
Children lose way of expressing themselves.
Pre-school has a postponement of a speech and that’s why it is important that they return as soon as possible,” Almeida said.
He added that by inactive and overeating during the generation of diabetics and other lifestyle diseases can be expected in the next 5 to 10 years.
“This unless there is a lifestyle modification done.” Although there are concerns that unbaccinated children will be more vulnerable than vaccinated adult populations, the Directorate of Health Services has found that for the past two months children are less than 10% of total positive without death, Almeida is said.
Kirtani said parents had to be informed that their children’s education would suffer if they chose not to send them to school.
