Chandigarh: Members of the back class community from Haryana have decided to hold ‘Mahapachayat’ on August 29 in the ‘Chaubisi Chaubisi’ in the Meham City of Rohtak District.
This event will be held under Banner Samast Haryana Pichhda Varg (all Haryana Backward Class), community umbrella organizations in the state.
The meeting has been organized by the community to provide a big boost on some of their demands, including conducting caste census, class representation of backwards from the Panchlayat level to parliament in the proportion of their population, the implementation of the Supreme Court Decision Assessment on the Creamy Problems layer and 27% order for backward classes Group-a and Group-b.
A group of people from the backward class, who had led the public for this demand held a meeting at Chandigarh on Wednesday to map plans for the August 29 event.
They also expressed their concern about the provisions of the 105th Constitutional Amendment Act which had just passed, which gave the power to identify the socio-economic reverse class (SEBCS).
