Lucknow: Even when the center on Tuesday passed the bill that allowed the state to include various castes into the Category of OBC without permission from the center, the Backward State class commission at Uttar Pradesh will soon take over the Kayastha community in the list.
The Commission has heard the request to provide the status of OBC to Mahapa Brahmana.
Currently has 79 castes in the OBC list.
According to the source of the Commission, the Kayastha community representative was previously rejected because no one continued its cause.
However, the new representation has been sent by BJP MLA from Bareilly, Arun Singh, a Kayasth.
Various Kayastha organizations have demanded adequate representation of people from their caste in the distribution of tickets, crimps and even in party organizations.
However, political parties have taken the community just pushed it back, said an analyst.
