Lucknow: Chairman of the Yogi Minister Aditentalath on Friday ordered the suspension of six police officers, including police circle officers, posted in Lakhimpur Kheri for their weaknesses during Thursday.
The action was taken after the video clip of two men pulled a woman by the proposer with his sari during the nomination for the Chairman Block poll on Thursday to Viral.
Those who were suspended include police circle officers, Mohamadi Abhay Pratap, Sho, Pasugawan, Adarsh, Inspector, Crime Branch, Hanuman Prasad, and three sub-inspectors – Durgesh Gangwar, and Mahesh Pratap.
The woman in the video was the investigator of the candidate supported by the Jamajwadi Party.
CM said that the police had to ensure the right security outside the polling station in front of the Pramukh Block Voting and said that tight action would be taken against those who were found guilty in the incident.
He also said that the police must be extra alert and sensitive.
The necessary actions must be taken by confiscating their weapons that show weapons, Yogi ordered.
Meanwhile, Kheri SP Vijay Dhull said that both were found behaved badly with the woman being arrested and will soon be produced in court.
‘Only those who came to give entries’ “both have been ordered under allegations of sexual violence, riots, punishment for influence or unpredictable personation on a robbery,” SP said.
