Nagpur: Despite bad performance in fixing potholes on city streets sooner, the NMC’s standing committee on Tuesday gave nod to invite tenders for hiring Insta Road Patcher device in a price of Rs1.99 crore.
Reputation committee chairman Prakash Bhoyar told press persons that the civic body will initially find the system’s performance record by the hotmix section before settling on hiring the exact same.
In 2019the NMC had hired the system, which may be utilized even during storms, for Rs1.99 crore.
The device was designed to aid repair potholes quicker and has been hired for a year.
But, it neglected to provide the desired outcome as mended patchwork began peeling off over a fortnight.
The hotmix division had filed the proposal to employ the device given the bad state of tar streets in town, Bhoyar added and said that it wasn’t the perfect time to publish the proposition.
“Really, the procedure to fix potholes must be initiated early so that drivers don’t endure through monsoon,” he pointed out.
“Consequently the civic body is currently linking city streets with real ones,” he explained.

The panel okayed the civic government’s Rs1.14 crore proposition to shortlist a company for establishing 12 little sewer treatment plants in households along with nullahs.

For this, the NMC can include yet another feather in its cap using treated sewage water to keeping the town’s lungs (gardens).
The NMC is supplying 220MLD treated sewer water into Koradi renewable energy station.
The standing committee also gave its nod to reconstruct a new bureau for cell telephone networks.
For this, the NMC will invest Rs50 lakh per annum, stated Bhoyar.
