Kanpur: To ensure that the City players and Neigbouring districts get world-class sports facilities, Kanpur Smart City with the State Department of Sports has taken the work of renovation and modernization of four badminton fields and six table tennis centers at the Green Park Stadium campus.
Commissioner Raj Shekhar, Commissioner of Shari Sharanappa GN and Deputy Director, Sports Mudrika Pathak together checked the renovation work that had begun about fifteen days ago.
Do wood floor fields for badminton tennis and table tennis, indoor structure, seating capacity of around 100 players, all civil facilities, four points in, the number of points out and the same locker and dress changes facilities separately for men & women 1, 5 Crore, Commissioner said and added work likely to be completed in May this year.
HBtu has been nominated as a technical partner with technical support and input from the Indian Authority Authority (SAI) team.
After the project is complete, the arrangement will be managed by the division sports promotion committee, the commissioner said further.
