Kathmandu: President of the Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba congress on Tuesday became the State Prime Minister for the fifth time, said Media Reports.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed him in accordance with Article 76 (5) Constitution, The Himalaya Times reported.
This is the fifth time Deuba aged 74 years back to power as Prime Minister Nepal.
The appointment was in line with the verdict issued by the Supreme Court on Monday to give a way to his claim to the Premiership, replacing the Kanda K P Sharma Oil.
The President’s Office has given Deuba about his appointment, the report said.
It was not immediately known when the ceremony swore would take place due to efforts to prepare.
Previously, Deuba served as Nepalese Prime Minister four times from June 2017-February 2018, June 2004-February 2005, July 2001-October 2002 and September 1995 – March 1997.
Deuba was required to find votes from home within 30 days of its prime Minister, in accordance with constitutional provisions.
The Supreme Court on Monday canceled the decision of the Prime Minister of OLI May 21 to dissolve the House of Representatives and ordered the appointment of Deuba as Prime Minister.
The constitutional bench of five members led by Cholendra Judge Chair Shumsher Rana said that oil claims against the position of Prime Minister was not constitutional.
Restoring the house again – The court has recovered the previous house on February 23 after the oil dissolved it on December 20 – the bench had ordered to make arrangements to hold a house meeting at 5 pm on July 18.
In the order of constitutional turmoil said President Bhandari’s decision to reject Deuba’s claim to form a new government was not constitutional.
