Hyderabad: Bakrid is celebrated with enthusiasm across Telangana on Wednesday with Muslims offering prayers in various eidgah in cities and other places in the state.
Miralam Eidgah, Ground Hockey in Masab Tanks, Military Land in Mehdipatnam and others here watched the big church, even though it was raining (since the morning hours) and the Covid-19 pandemic appeared to have had an impact on the celebration.
The state government has fully raised the locking key induced by Covid last month and removes all restrictions.
Minister of Home Affairs Mohd Mahmood Ali made a prayer at a mosque in Azampura in the city.
Governor of Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chair of the Chandrasekhar Rao Chandrasekhar, President of the State Congress and MP Revanth Reddy member and other leaders delivered their greetings to Muslims on that occasion.
The Bakrid festival symbolizes the highest spirit of sacrifice and dedication, said Soundararajan.
Greetings, Rao said Bakrid was a symbol of sacrifice.
He said the message shows mercy, affection, sacrifice and patience to others must be learned from Bakrid.
