Bala V Balachandran died of illness

Chennai: Management of Teacher Bala V Balachandran, founder of the Great Lakes Institute of Management, died in Chicago after a short disease on Monday.
He is 84 years old.
He survived his wife and two of his sons.
Bala, as he meant, is a professor of accounting management & information that distinguishes (iperitus), Northwestern University.
A passionate teacher, he was awarded Padma Shri in 2001 because of his contribution to education.
Born in Pukkottai, Bala finished studying at Annamalai University, Chidambaram, on duty in the army for a while before heading to the US for doctoral studies.
From there, start a career known as a professor, consultant, mentor, writer, entrepreneur and coach of life.
He helped recruiting the first set of faculty members to Iim Bangalore in the late 1960s, establishing a management department in MDI in Gurgaon through collaboration along with UNDP, Wharton and Kellogg.
Working with N Chandrababu Naidu when he is the chairman of Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Bala’s vision for a quick one-year MBA program for professionals who worked manifested with ISB in 2000.
In 2004, he founded the Great Lakes Institute of Management today Other campuses in Gurugram.
Minister of Tamil Nadu’s Minister M K Stalin said sadness over Balachandran’s bait and expressed condolences to the family.
N Srinivasan, MD from CementS India Ltd, said, “I was really sad to lose my good friend, Bala Balachandran.
I consider it a leader and management of extraordinary thought.
In early 2000, when Chennai appeared above the investment objective, Bala Make Chennai and TN proudly establish a Premier B school, the Great Lakes Institute of Management.
This will remain an important contribution to the city he loves most.
