Coimbatore: Minister of Electricity V Senthil Balaji on Thursday interviewed candidates for the election of local bodies here women, who have registered for contests at Coimbatore Corporation and the municipality and Panchayats City in this district.
They were made to gather in the hall keeping Covid norms and called to the room where they were interviewed one by one victory in their ward.
Their reputation was measured by the sound bagged by those who were contested in local agency elections in the past.
The interview will continue on Friday.
The panel, which consists of electricity and district secretaries, will choose three names from each environment and send it to the high command party.
