New Delhi: Senior IPS officer Balaji Srivastava took additional fees as Police Commissioner Delhi on Wednesday after Petellings and Shrivastava retired.

1988-batch IPS officers from Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram cadres and Union Territory (Agmut), he had previously worked as a DGP of Puducherry and Mizoram and special commissioners, intelligence, special economic and cell wings, Delhi.
He also served in the cabinet secretariat for nine years and handled sensitive tasks, orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The ministry has been, in a command, said Balaji Srivastava will issue assignments as Police Commissioner Delhi next to his current responsibility until the head of the national police forces are appointed.
SN Shrivastava also initially took additional CP, Delhi, in February 2020 after the communal riots in the capital following the protest of the citizenship amendment law, 2019.
He was arranged as Delhi Police CP only last month.
