Ban international flights extended until June 30: DGCA

NEW DELHI: The government on Friday extended global commercial flights prohibit until June 30, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated in a round.
The former deadline for flights suspension was supposed to finish on May 31.
“In partial modification of round outdated 26-06-2020, the competent jurisdiction has further expanded the validity of round issued to the subject mentioned above about Scheduled International commercial passenger agencies to/from India until 2359 hrs 1ST of 30th June, 2021,” that the DGCA circular said.
“But, international scheduled flights could be permitted on selected routes from the qualified authority in case to case basis,” it added.
International flights are suspended in India because March 23 final year because of this Covid-19 pandemic.
Though, specific foreign flights are working under the’Vande Bharat Mission’ as May this past year, also below rigorous”air bubble” arrangements with preferred countries since July.
