Hyderabad: Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay appeared before the Privilege Lok Sabha committee complained about his illegal arrest by the police in Telangana, the last earlier when he was imprisoned after being arrested.
Party President Bharatiya Janata has written to the previous privileges about this.
In a continuation, he attended hearing and explained what he faced in the hands of the police.
He talked about his arrest on January 2 in Karimnagar where he had protested GO 317.
Bandi reaffirmed before the committee he complained about his previous letter which stated that the action must be made to the Police Commissioner Karimnagar V Satyanarayana.
He also quoted an example in which the police allegedly behaved with him in 2019.
Bandi also registered the names of several other police officers for allegedly violating their rights.
On January 3, Bandi complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla against the police.
He reportedly explained to the Committee and Chair of Sunil Kumar Singh how the police entered the BJP Party office in Karimnagar and he was detained at the police station at night.
