Mumbai: The place of recreation in Bandra was crowned after Darryl d’Monte, a former editor of the Times of India, Mumbai on Sunday.
D’Monte, who took over as a resident editor in 1988, died in March 2019 at the age of 75.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Sunday morning with a symbolic tree plantation ceremony by his family members to mark the opportunity.
This park is located in D’Monte Road, Bandra (West).
The Corporator of the Local Congress of Asif Zakaria said he had transferred a proposal and it was approved a few months ago in the BMC BMC BMC meeting.
“Attending the park naming for famous memory journalists, writers, environmental lovers, activists, Green Crusaders as” Park Darryl d’Monte “in Bandra with family, friends and sympathizers of the Zakaria family,” Zakaria tweeted.
