Greater Noida: A waste treatment plant (STP) and solid waste treatment facility will soon be arranged near the Bangar Jewar, a city built to rehabilitate a 3,000-plus family from seven villages moved by the Jewar Airport project.
Although some of the displaced families have begun to live in the city, only limited urban services are available at the current Bangar Baluar.
Yamuna Expressway authorities officials said that the budget around RS 8.20 Crore was approved for both projects.
“The tender for both projects will float next week, before Diwali,” said an official authority.
STP will have the capacity of caring for 5 million liters of waste water produced by families living in the city every day.
Many families have shifted to that place have septic tanks built.
“All waterways in the city have not been connected to a sewerage line.
The sewer exchange has been carried out, but has not worked,” said Devendra Singh, a resident of Pocket Rohi.
CEO Yeida, Arun VI VIR Singh said that the tender to carry out STP work was floating in the past.
“But participating companies cannot be eligible in the bid process for several reasons.” The authority evaluates the terms and conditions and will float the tender again to prepare STP and separate to build a solid waste treatment plant next week.
A separate work order will be issued to build public toilet blocks in the village.
