Bangkok closes public space as a surge in viruses in Thailand

BANGKOK: Thailand has been locked in a place of capital shut and some of the remaining public places are available for the population on Friday, because the country registers new coronavirus infections.
Total restrictions on the movement in the capital came when the Prime Minister demanded officials finding ways to make sick people after the people with Covid-19 were found dead on the streets of Bangkok.
The Ministry of Health reported 14,575 new cases and 114 deaths throughout the country, brought death since the pandemic began last year to 3,811.
Almost all deaths occurred since April after a number of distribution events and national holidays.
The biggest concentration of cases and deaths has been in the capital.
About 15 million people live in the metropolitan area of Bangkok.
The Prime Government of the Minister of Prayuth Cha-O-Cha has been under the increase in fires for the management of a delta-fueled wave surge and a slow vaccination program.
His government has received severe criticism after reporting that people await care to die on the streets and in their homes.
“The most important thing, we have to think what we can do to reduce the number of infected cases waiting for ambulances at home or on the streets,” Prayuth said at the meeting on Thursday morning.
“This image should not be seen again.
It is the responsibility of each agency, not only the Ministry of Public Health.
Some agents involved need to find ways to bring these patients to the field hospital,” he said about the dead.
The number of people found dead from Covid-19 in the capital increases every day, said an official with a charity that has helped pick them up.
Somoon Kwan-On, Head of Disaster Relief Unit Poh Teck Tung, said in a telephone interview that his team had collected eight to 10 bodies a day.
Thailand is hospitalized and isolates anyone who feels positive with a virus, makes tension on the number of beds available.
Nearly 4,000 Covid-19 patients were in Friday’s intensive care unit, including 900 ventilators, said Apisamai Srirangsan, a spokesman for the Covid-19 government administration center.
Meanwhile, more than 20,000 people in the Bangkok region are waiting in Covid-19 treatment beds, not including more than 2,500 people are isolated at home or in public arrangements.
In Bangkok itself, 70 people are still waiting in bed in critical condition.
Porntep Saeheng, Director of Erawan Medical Center, told the AP received around 2,000 calls per day from Covid-19 patients and more than 3,000 cases handled by the centers still could not get a bed in pre-reception centers.
Bangkok and the surrounding provinces are under the lip of almost two weeks.
Further restrictions on movement and hours of last night are implemented this week, close all malls and shops except supermarkets, all-round stores and pharmacies.
On Friday, all public parks, hair salons, and barber shops and most public spaces are closed.
The Thai government has also been burned because of its failure to secure significant vaccine equipment.
It has been given around 15.38 million doses of vaccines.
About 11.8 million people, or 17.1% of the 69 million country populations have received at least one dose.
