MEERUT: Military Intelligence and Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee have arrested a 35-year-old Bangladesh National resident of Piran Kalianyar for allegedly forging documents to live in India.
The defendant has been identified as Mohd Suhail, a resident of Kathura Kandi Village in Madaripur District in Bangladesh.
“Suhail first came to India in February 2020 and explored the possibility of staying here permanently.
The second time he came to India on October 6, 2021.
He reached Piran Kalianry on October 18,” said the source of the army.
“As long as he questioned Suhail revealed he had entered India illegally and reached Kolkata after he moved to Delhi through Bihar and on October 18, he reached Piran Kalianyar.
Through the connection, he met Kusum who lived in the house of Islam.
He came here Alone and also brought a fake aadhaar card and other documents where the date of birth was mentioned.
He also brought the original identity card from Bangladesh who said he was born in 1987, “police said.
In particular, in the past three years, the police have arrested more than 10 Bangladesh citizens from Piran Kaliary, the latest in March when a 60-year-old man was arrested who had lived in various parts of the country for the past 30 years for the past 30 years.
