Bangladeshved to vaccinate Rohingya refugees in the midst of a surge in the Coronavirus

Dhaka: The Bangladeshi government and aid agency began to vaccinate Rohingya refugees on Tuesday because the virus surge caused health risks in narrow narrow camps where more than 1 million people escaped from Myanmar took refuge.

About 500 Bangladesh Red Crescent staff and volunteers joined health workers for the campaign in collaboration with the UN refugee agency, according to a statement from the International Agency.
Rohingya community leader, volunteer of frontline health care in camps, and Rohingya older than 55 is in the first group to be vaccinated.
More than 65,000 from nearly 900,000 refugees will be vaccinated in the first cohort, the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees said in the email to the Associated Press.
Bangladesh has reported more than 1.3 million infections, including 22,897 deaths from Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
More than 700,000 Rohingya escaped from Myanmar the majority of Buddhists in 2017 as a harsh manner of a military harshly turned off against ethnic groups after attacks with rebels.
Other Rohingya has lived in refugee camps in Bangladesh following the waves of previous persecution.
The 2017 crackdown includes rape, murder and torch thousands of houses, and is called ethnic cleaning by the global rights and the United Nations.
While Bangladesh and Myanmar seeks to regulate repatriation, Rohingya is too afraid to return home.
