Katihar: nonperforming assets (NPA) or bad debt that is worth more than Rs 27 lakh was found by three major banks in the district in National Lok Adalat held at the civil court on Saturday.
Satyam Kumar, manager Gurubazar India state bank branch in the district, said at least 20 cases related to agricultural loans completed in Adalat.
Pradeep Choudhary, Field Officer of the Bank, said, “The bank recovered Rs 1.67.000 of the dead and Rs 4.17.000 account comes from a large book that reminded (direct assets).” Deovrat, Area Coordinator Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank, Katihar, said at least 50 cases resolved in NPA of Rs 40 Lakh Bank resolved.
Manoj Kumar Madhukar, manager of major banks, Katihar, said, “At least 101 cases of Bank Central India, Branch Katihar, worth Rs 73 Lakh completed and Rs 12 lakh recovered.
On the other hand, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Katihar, settling 25 cases relating to landline, broadband, wimax and GSM postpaid phone bill.
Shashi Ranjan, SDE (phone) BSNL (Katihar) said, “the response was good.
Our effort is to sort out the maximum disputed cases based on mutual understanding, as prescribed by the BSNL Corporate.
