Bank manager, three others stole cash 10L from ATMs

Vadodara: Manager and Peon of Indian Overseas Bank was shared with two other people for allegedly stealing more than Rs 10.4 lakh from Bank ATM in Waghodiya City Vadodara Regency.
Hemantkumar Meena branch manager, Peon Shailesh Sharma and the other two – Vinu and Subham Singh – booked when the new branch manager found incompatibility in cash records at the Bank ATM.
Bank records show that there is enough cash on the machine, but the ATM safe is empty.
Police said that the theft was suspected of happening between October 19 and October 28 because the ATM did not function due to technical problems.
Only the day before the ATM out of the service, cash stolen is stored on the machine.
“There is no effort to forcefully open the machine or damage it.
Prima facie seems like some people who know the password is involved,” said In-Charge Inspector J G Desai.
Bank officials told the police that the ATM cash safe open with the key and password, both with branch managers.
“Managers and Peons have been ordered because of their negligence or the involvement we investigate.
Two other people who were also crowned the defendant were technicians who came to repair the engine,” Desai said.
The four accused mentioned in the police mod had not been arrested.
