Jaipur: Bank oxygen appears in Rajasthan to help people bring home oxygen concentrators for patients who face difficulties in breathing.
This oxygen bank will be run by the State Health Department.
The oxygen concentrator will be given to patients in need based on the prescription.
Not only covid, patients but also those who suffer neurological problems or other lung diseases will be able to obtain oxygen concentrators from these banks.
During the second covid wave, many NGOs and social workers tried to provide oxygen concentrators to patients at home, if they did not find a bed at the hospital.
But this for the first time the state government has made a decision to create oxygen banks in all districts.
“We are preparing for detailed guidelines at Bank Oxygen.
This will help patients undergo care at home,” said Siddharth Mahajan, Secretary (Health).
In the guidelines, the Ministry of Health will define whether this service will be free of fees or the health department will give it a lease.
Also, it will be defined how a patient at home can take advantage of its benefits.
Instructions for preparing guidelines issued during the meeting held on June 29 chaired by the main secretary, the Ministry of Health.
During the second wave of Covid, the Ministry of Health must work hard to provide oxygen for patients who face difficulty breathing.
Taking lessons from the second wave, the Ministry of Health not only ensures the availability of oxygen facilities in rural areas, but also ensures that patients at home should not face difficulties in obtaining oxygen concentrators.
The state government takes steps to become independent in the oxygen generation because it plans to produce 1,000 metric tons in time to come up with the oxygen generation factory established by various institutions and through other equipment.
Medical facilities are being expanded by choosing more than 350 public health centers (CHCS) in this country seeing the concern of the third wave of Covid.
The availability of oxygen and other equipment is ensured in these centers, officials said.
