Hyderabad: Cyber criminals hacked the Urban Cooperative AP Mahesh server and alleged to suck up more than Rs 12 Crore to various accounts.
Cyber crime wings from Hyderabad police registered a case and conducted an investigation on Monday after bank officials filed complaints.
Some people are hacked into bank servers and transferring a large number to around 100 different bank accounts.
Bank officials filed a complaint to the police after fraud was revealed during internal verification.
A police team visited the Bank’s main branch to launch the probe.
The team collects the details of the Cyber Bank security system.
It is said to be first of all e-fraud targeting banks in the city.
With his head office in Hyderabad, Bank Mahesh has 45 branches in four states.
In 2018, the hackers had sucked Crore Rs 94 from Pune-based Cosmos Bank, the second largest cooperative bank in India, by cloning thousands of credit cards.
