Bank strike continues for the second day; services throughout the hit country

New Delhi: Lakh Employees of Public Sector Banks continue their strike on the second day on Friday to protest the privatization of banks proposed by the government which affects normal operations throughout the country.
Branch window leaves in many parts of the country on Friday down after strike calls provided by the Union Union Forum (UFBU), the Nine Workers’ Umbrella Agency included all Confederations of Bank India (AIBOC), all Bank India Employee Associations (AIBEA) and national organizations Bank Workers (NBW).
As a result, services such as deposits and withdrawals in the branch, check permits and loan agreements remain directed due to the two-day strike that ended that day.
Public sector lenders, including Indian state banks have told customers that services in their branches may be affected by strikes.
However, the private sector, especially the new generation private sector lenders, such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Mahindra Bank boxes, works as usual.
The strike contradicts the government’s decision to privatize public sector banks that have played a vital role in the Building Nation, (AIBEA) Secretary General C H Venkatokalam.
Secretary General of AIBOC Soumya Dutta said that around 7 lakh throughout the country participated in a two-day attack.
In the Union budget presented in February, Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the privatization of two public sector banks (PSB) as part of the plan to be resolved.
To facilitate privatization, the government has registered the Bill Banking Act (Amendment), 2021, for introduction and passages during the current parliamentary session.
The government has privatized IDBI banks by selling majority shares in lenders to LC in 2019 and combining 14 public sector banks in the past four years.
