Hyderabad: Maja China forbids once more to turn into a threat to Avifauna Hyderabad when hundreds of birds are flawed during the Sankranti celebration.
According to the greater Hyderabad community for the prevention of cruelty of animals (GHSPCA), they saved 38 birds entangled in spoiled China in the last two days with one pigeon who gave up on a fatal injury.
“It’s worse this year, we saved 14 of them yesterday and 24 of them today (Sunday).
A pigeon died when we reached the place.
Some birds including Indian eagles, pigeons, and crows,” Soudharm Bhandari, an officer of welfare Animal (AWO) and Ghspca’s head told TII.
Glass coated nylon Utas continues to be sold in the Kite Market of Hyderabad this year and some birds are found stuck in high branches, lights and electricity poles that need human intervention.
Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS), other animal welfare NGOs based in Hyderabad saved a total of 70 birds in the last two days.
“We are a team of four people and we accept calls from all over the city.
Doves, crows, black kites, sun burning are some of the birds we saved,” Pradeep Paracakuth, AWC founder to Ti.
Experts noted that it was only the beginning of the problem for a year because of post-Sankranti, Chinese Maja left in trees, electricity poles, and other high regions will continue to pose a threat to birds.
Pradeep explained that recently a stork painted was saved by the local police but died during treatment after spoiled China cut the left wing and even the bones.
“The bird was a lot of bloody and finally died despite taking a lot of effort,” Pradeep added.
Last year, AWC saved more than 250 birds injured by Chinese spoiled and claimed that the number was small compared to previous years.
“Because Covid, Sankranti last did not see many flying kites and law enforcement of spoiled trading spoiled bore.
But, this year, it was getting worse,” Pradeep said.
