Tente: Two senior inspectors were placed under the suspension and two assistant commissioners of Shunt Out on Monday night after Marathi’s news channel removed the shock operation showing a bar in the Naupada and Vartak Nagar area operating in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously during the day, the Interior Minister Dilip Walse Patil said he had asked the DGP state to investigate the problem and submit a report to him.
“If the dance bar is found operational, then police officials will be punished,” Walse Patil has warned.
Released by Police Thane Commissioners at night said Naupada Senior Inspector Anil Mangle and Vartak Nagar Senior Inspector Sanjay Gaikwad had been suspended, while the Division of Naupada ACP NEETA LOAMPLA and Vartak Nagar ACP Shirsat had been transferred to the control room.
It was said that Thane Commissioner Jai Jeet Singh had ordered an investigation into this issue under the Police Commissioner (West).
A criminal violation has been registered from the concerned orchestra bar and the process to cancel their license permanently began, said the release.
The Thane Municipal and Excise State company was also asked to take action against this bar, he said.
