Lucknow: Barbanki Police claimed to have broken a car thief operating mainly in Lucknow and Barabanki with the arrest of the Prashant Shukla.
Police officials said that Prashant had stolen six mid-size cars in Barabanki and Lucknow.
Stolen cars are even sold in Nepal.
A large bead has been launched for other gang members.
The police initiated a probe after one Rohit Prasad from the Kotwali Nagar police station in Barabanki filed a complaint of his car stolen from outside his home.
The police supervisor, Barabanki, Yamuna Prasad said, “acting on a tip-off, our team caught the accusation of Prashant Shukla and won three medium size cars from his ownership.” “During the interrogation, Prashant revealed that he used to break the car key which is usually parked on the side of the road or not in the parking lot.
