Mumbai: Governor Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday led the Kochi and Kolkata Ins commander officer, who played a role in saving the lives of the crew members from the barges who sank Mumbai beach in May.
According to the release issued by Raj Bhavan, captain Sachin Sequeira from Ins Kochi and captain Prashant Handy of the Kolkata was given a certificate of appreciation by the governor in Raj Bhavan.
The Governor praised the officers and their team to show the courage that was exemplary in saving the P 305 barging crew member, who accommodated personnel involved in the maintenance work of the offshore oil drilling platform from the ONGC Major Oil and the State Managed Gas.
