Gurgaon: The MCG Probe has revealed that the concession holder for the basi construction (C & D) waste plant fully converts its work to third parties in violation of the concession agreement.
Third parties even burden people illegally for the collection and transportation of Waste C & D on behalf of the Civic body without being permitted to do so.
Mayor of Madhu Azad on Wednesday urged the MCG Commissioner to start actions against the IL & FS Environmental Services Limited (IEISL), restoring financial losses caused by civil bodies and black lists of all companies involved in alleged fraud.
Minister of Manohar Minister Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the basi factory in 2017, which began operating about two years later.
Although the concession holder “has the right to subscribe part of the C & D service to the third party chosen by it for its own policy” in accordance with the agreement in December 2016 with MCG, Report by Pradeep Ahlawat, Commissioner-1, claim that IISL outsourcing all work to the company Others in June 2019.
The copy of the report has TOI.
“The concession holder has rented out his work to other companies according to the report submitted to me.
We will take appropriate action in the earliest legal framework,” said Commissioner MCG Mukesh Kumar Ahuja.
Calling it a criminal conspiracy against MCG, the report also states that in accordance with the agreement between IISL and third parties, the first will hand over ownership of facilities and infrastructure in the basi factory to the last.
This, the report stated, it clearly showed that 100% of plant work C & D was sublet to the third company.
“I have written a letter to the MCG Commissioner, urged him to take decisive action against the concession holder based on the investigation report,” said Mayor of Toi.
In his letter to the Commissioner, the mayor also demanded that the company’s contract be canceled and the financial loss caused by the restored MCG.
However, when contacted, spokesman IL & FS said, “We have sold our waste management business under the IL & FS environment to another company in April this year, as part of the completion process.”
