Kolkata: Belur Math will be out of bounds for visitors during Puja Durga.
In Mahalaya, October 6, and then for eight pujas days, starting from October 9 (Chaturthi) to October 16 (Ekadashi), the gate will remain closed to worshipers to avoid crowding.
According to the official announcement conducted on Thursday, the place will also remain beyond the boundary on November 10, Chhath Puja.
At present, only those who have double vaccination evidence or with a negative RT-PCR test report incurred within 72 hours are permitted to enter.
However, the Mathematical Authority Belur felt that even though there was this precautionary measure, it was possible to enter during pujas it would lead to crowding.
The pujas will be held at the temple like the last time with residential monks participating with Covid rules on the spot.
Kumari Puja will also be held.
Like last year, Kumari and his family will be tested for Covid before they come for rituals.
All pujas will be directly flowed for worshipers to participate virtually.
