Battle for a decade later, Kalyan’s Adivasi Community gets a public toilet

Kalyan: Republican day This year is special for around 100 adivasis from 24 families living near Birla College in Kalyan, because they will now get a public toilet after persuading the authorities for almost a decade.
Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation started construction work for the toilet on January 26.

Dethe said after further persuasion, KDMC finally began the construction of a public toilet and he even attended a stone laying ceremony.
Dethe, who is also responsible for BJP St Morcha in Kalyan, “When I asked KDMC to provide a toilet for adivasis, civilian officials asked me to show the land of Docui to know that even though the community had lived here for many years, on the note, land It belongs to Mhada.
“Dethe has since decided to take the cause of all tribal communities and fight for their rights to the toilet.
He said providing toilets was the responsibility of the government.

After meeting with city corporation, Mhada gave land for the construction of public toilets.
