Bengaluru: put all speculations to rest about changes in leadership in Karnataka, Minister of Home Affairs Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that BS Yediyurappa will continue as the main minister.
Bommai said, “Yediyurappa will continue as chairman of the Minister of State, he himself said”.
“Our Arun Singh who is responsible also said.
The minister’s chairman is a very strong leader.
Through all these speculations and rumors, they try to create political instability,” he added.
Last month, BJP MLA and the minister demanded that Yediyurappa must go down as the main minister.
CP Yogeeshwara’s tourism minister in a statement said that instead of the main minister, his son had governed and controlled the State Ministry.
BJP MLC Ah Vishwanath also said that 80 percent of BJP legislators, who met with the National Secretary General responsible for the country of Arun Singh, felt that leadership in the state must be changed.
Yediyurappa, however, denied the allegations and said that confusion among members would be cleaned.
He also said, “I will resign from the High Command Party Party asking me to stop.
I am not talking about rumors and speculations made by several ministers and legislators.” The minister’s chairman met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Keoan Home Amit Shah and National President of BJP JP Nadda on Saturday.
