NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday Requested for Some Time when the ICC Board Fulfilled Almost Having the eye on the hosting T20 World Cup in India at October-November and the same Has Been approved by the members since the Indian board has been given time until June 28 to Choose a Phone on the issue.
Talking to ANI, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly affirmed exactly the same.
“We’ve got time until June 28 to return to the ICC about hosting the T20 World Cup,” he explained.
Sources in the know about improvements in this ICC meeting stated the worldwide body has chosen to provide the BCCI period since the COVID-19 situation could change during the next month.
“It had been determined that the BCCI needs to be granted time to check at the way the COVID-19 situation stands out and when the problem improves in another month, then the Indian board may decide how they want to proceed with the championship and should the situation does not improve, we could then take it ahead and choose another step into hosting it at UAE that’s the backup place,” the source explained.
The board had decided about the traces of asking to an extension in time throughout their Special General Meeting on Saturday and also BCCI president Ganguly asked the members to provide India time to have a call about the hosting of this showpiece occasion.
Throughout the SGM, the BCCI had decided that using over four weeks left to the showpiece occasion, the BCCI would suggest to the ICC to provide the body time until the end of June or beginning of July to get a telephone on hosting the championship.
“There’s still near four and a half weeks and we’re certain things will change in this area of time with regard to COVID-19.
The BCCI will ask that the ICC for a while until the end of June and also the Beginning of July to get a Last call on the Topic,” a supply had clarified following the SGM on Saturday.
