BCCI Postpones U-16 Vijay Trophy Merchant

Mumbai: As news that dripped in Mumbai forced part 144 in the city and placed a certain suburbs under the curfew, BCCI officials also locked themselves in the meeting to receive future domestic equipment.
The U-16 Cricketers scheduled to play Vijay Trade Cups are not vaccinated and board, led by Secretary Jay Shah, considering canceling the tournament.
There may be a delay too, but the last call has not been taken and the possibility of the tournament is now held remotely.
“U-16 Cricketers are not vaccinated.
They cannot be taken risk.
Cancellation has not been considered but there is concern about the increase in number.
The direct solution that he can think is delay and wait,” said BCCI source.
Although only Vijay traders are now, the thinking of Trophy Ranji starts in the second month of January – the time when other Covid waves are expected to disappear on BCCI.
The board must receive tight calls on all domestic equipment, if they have to be held and if yes then under strict bio-bubbles.
“The last two years, BCCI must be slow to all domestic tournaments because of the covid threat but if you see a bigger picture, it works in the best interest of everyone, especially the players.
Again, the call will have it to be taken,” The source added.
At present, Onus remains in Vijay Merchants – tournaments that do not need to be damaged by conversations around age-related controversy.
While the board has its own set of plans to overcome threats, questions are asked if there are more efficient ways.
“At present, we need to deal with Covid again.
But we will immediately decide whether the tournament can be held at all,” the official said.
