Bengaluru: Even before the city can forget the death of the Reality Show Contestant R Samanvi, 6, which was destroyed under a tipper truck driven in a hurry on Kanakapura road on January 13, the truck was speeding claimed the life of two young people who celebrated the 20th birthday, on Friday.
Since January 1, 31 people have died in an accident on the road in various cities.
From them, 11 was the victim of a hit-and-run case.
BR Ravinkante Gowda, Commissioner with the police (traffic), said a special drive would be carried out on Tipper trucks entering the city road during rush hour and those who were driving with a rash and negligent.
“Also, the disciplinary action will be taken to the traffic police supervisor where the jurisdiction tipper truck causes an accident during rush hour or due to driving reckless,” he said.
The first accident on Friday happened at around 9:30 a.m.
when a Tipper truck destroyed a 28-year-old private company employee to death near Kr Puram.
The victim, Bilal Khan, was a resident of Yarar Nagar in Banashankari.
According to the police, Khan rose to his workplace when an accident took place near the Kruram train station.
The truck driver suddenly changed at the intersection and Khan, who was riding on the right side, lost his balance and fell when the truck hit him.
The driver failed to pay attention to this and Ran Khan, killed him in place.
The second accident occurred at around 11:30 a.m.
near the Bhadrappa layout in Hebbbal.
