Mumbai: The day after relieving the covid-19 sidewalk in most state districts, the Chairman of the Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray has requested the business sector and the population of the city centers where relaxation has not been made, to be patient.
Thackeray also said the government was considering allowing the general public to travel by local trains but would assess the pros and cons before making decisions.
He said public health is the biggest priority.
“We are reviewing the situation.
We are considering allowing public people on the local train.
Each decision is being taken responsibly and for the benefit of the community,” Thackeray during the inauguration of the BMC Office Building H-West Ward.
Officials said the country held talks by train to consider opening suburban services for public public.
Such proposals allow them to be fully vaccinated to the Council Train or allow female commuter during certain hours or the general public in non-peak hours is all being considered.
“The decision can be taken immediately,” said a senior official.
Thackeray said while cases in part of the country were dipped, several districts needed a more careful approach.
“Relaxation has been given where we can; wherever we cannot, we have no choice.
But if relaxation is not given this time, it does not mean that businesses will be closed forever.
Traders and people must be patient,” said Thackeray The government has allowed extended timings for shops, parks and malls who are allowed to reopen in many districts, but the restaurant hours have not been extended.
Theater and multiplex have not been allowed to be reopened too.
What’s more, relaxation has been limited to 25 other 11 districts, including Pune, where Covid indicators are higher than the average state of a more stringent state.
Thackeray chose BMC for praise because of its business in limiting the spread of the virus.
He said the Mumbai model was praised by the world, especially for his work in a densely populated ward like Dharavi.
